A bit about me:
Having been around bikes and cars all of my life, due to my fathers interests, I first got into racing motocross in my early teens, which was fairly short lived and I never really took to it at the time.
I spent a number of years on the roads, having owned a range of bikes from a DT50 at 16, to a 748 Ducati upon passing my bike test at 22, onto a 1999 R1, a 2006 R6, and various supermoto's and so on.
Upon acquiring a new R1 in the summer of 2007, my pace and hunger for speed started to get a little bit too much for the public roads, that and my constantly increasing competitive nature......
It was then at the start of 2008 that I decided Id be best at home doing track days, so along came my first track bike a 2003 Honda CBR600RR, which after about 4 track days I decided Id upgrade to a 2006 Yamaha R6.
I did the Ron Haslam race school, where they pointed out that I was quite quick given my lack of experience and that maybe racing would be the way forward. I had already been thinking this myself, mentioning it in joke to my Wife and Family to get them used to the idea.
A couple more trackdays later and I'm up Rugby sitting my ACU licence, no turning back now!
I then started using the Mallory test days to get upto speed, this was where we could get an idea of lap times and setting some goals. The initial goal was to duck below a minute around Mallory, then to keep improving and learning setup for the bike.
After around 5 test days at Mallory we decided to have a go at racing, my first meeting was the 15th June 2008, the Post TT round at Mallory Park.
It now seems Racing has become a part of my life. I'm constantly amazed Ive had any success at all, let alone winning several F600 Club Championships. I'm eager to keep on pushing myself, I'm training harder than ever before (infact Ive never trained for anything before I started to race bikes) and I'm really looking forward to the future.
Thanks for taking the time to read my website.
